This was the final round of the winter series that turned into a real gruella for all but end peg Andy Rogers following a frost and brown alge streaks all over the lake again. Andy draw on peg 30 had liners from the off but ended up taking nine Bream to 4lb in the last ninety minutes on a groundbait feeder and maggot totalling 28.2.0. Brian Wallace on the dam peg 2 had a single Tench for 4.11.0 with Charlie Salmon on peg 10 third with a single Tench weighing 3.14.0. Fourth was Mark Shaw also with a single Tench for 3.7.0. Twenty fished this latest match which turned out to be very hard possibly due to the brown Alge bloom on the lake with only the odd Bream ir Tench caught. Henry Golas on end peg 24 took the win with 9.10.0 consisting of a Tench and small Roach and Perch. Stu Kendal was second from the dam wall peg 2 with a bag of small skimmers and roach just beating Jim Findlay on 26 who had 8.4.0. Twenty three fished this latest match after a rainy start it brightened uo in the afternoon. Henry Golas on peg 39 fished the pole and won with 14.10 0 of small Roach and Perch and a couple of Bream. Martin Charnock fishe the whip taking over 500 small fish for second with 12.6.0. This one was fished on the hottest day of the year so for with temps at 31c and a gin clear lake that made the fishing very hard. Nigel Calverley won from peg 32 catching small roach and perch on a whip for 6.8. Roger Howe took second with 5.8.0 from 24 mainly with two big perch. Chris Kampa was third with 4.2.0 from 34.

Only Eight braved th early rain today but all caught on what turned out to be a nice day. Brian Kennard on peg 28 caught on the waggler and pole using caster to 22.12.0 of Tench and Roach / Perch. Dave Hoffman on peg 7 had a lean first 2 hours then the bream moved in and fishing the shallow waggler with caster Dave amassed a new lake record match catch of 92.8.0. The final round of the "Fours" was fished on a cold still day following several cold night that saw the fish shoaled up in little pockets.Two teams chose not to show up but in the end this did not effect the final result. Team Soveriegn went for little fish from the off and won the day with 7 pts. There was a tie for second on 11 pts won by Swampsiders from Matchangler with a superior weight, Baggers were fourth on 13pts and Trevs Tornadoes fifth on 17pts. Top individual on the day be a distance was Pete Salmon of Swampsiders who beat everybody else combined with a fabulous 57lb of Bram from peg 15. Final league was Matchangler.com 73pts, Swampsiders 77pts, Soveriegn 94pts, Trevs Tornadoes and Baggers both 96.Chertsey Bait 110pts and Gemini 131pts.
It was decided to end the "Fours" league after a successful 15 years so thanks to all who took park over the years.

Wood lake fish pretty well considering the very clear conditions and Ever Popular Dave Steer won the day from peg 38 with feeder tactics for 29.9.0. Colin Sax opposite on peg 8 was second using similar feeder tactics for 23.4.0. John Wilkins on peg 30 took third with 20.8.0 and Roy Fiasco in 7 was fourth with 18.2.0. Sections (Across the lake) Perry Gray (2) 8.10.0, Brian Wallace (33) 8.10.0 and Mark Lewis (31) 12.2.0. With Roger still unwell and Dave Woolgar away Cfris Kampa and Colin Underwood stepped in to run the show on the day with Richard McGuinn and wife Jo providing refreshments. There was just 8oz between the weighing 33.8.0 and 33.0.0 with Richards last gasp Tench on the whistle making the difference. Twyfords Vince Davies took thirdwith 3 tench for 11.10.0 on peg 26 and Andy Love on peg 6 4th with the lone Bream caught and a few Percot 7.0.0.
