Other views of Broadwater Lake:
Location: Situated on the main A3100 sitting between the golf course and rugby club on your left when driving from Godalming towards Guildford. It is clearly visible from the main road and if you should reach the Crematorium roundabout loop back around it as you've gone too far!
No. swims: 48 of which many are comfortable double swims.
Disabled access: There is parking at the main road end with level access to the whole of the lake. There is also parking at the top end (accessed via Summers Road, Farncombe) at the Sports Centre where there is a ramp (quite steep and not so disabled friendly).
Locked gate: No, this is a public park setting.
Toilets on site: Yes.
Both Gents - locked on a combination which is in your permit and a separate
ladies ......
Map of venue: See above.
Fish stocks: Mainly carp - both Common and Mirrors to in excess of 30lbs now. Also a reasonable head of Crucian carp to 4lbs, an excellent number of roach to 2lbs, perch to 3lbs, Rudd to 1lbs and the occasional Tench up to 6lbs.
Recent captures: Broadwater fishes well throughout the year and the carp regularly put in an appearance - See Catch reports & Bailiffs reports sections. One of our bailiffs landed a 28lbs carp this winter - nice one Mike.
The water fountain is in and
working to help keep the oxygen levels up. There is no problem currently as
temperatures have not been extreme but it is good practice to have it up and
running throughout the summer months.
