3rd Steve Kendall 17.10 0

area fished this week. Mick Mahoney on peg 8 had Skimmers and
Bream all day on the crumb feeder and red maggot to finish up
with top spot. Dave around the corner on the consistent peg 13
fished the pole with a variety of bait that he was not too
forthcoming about to end up with a mixed bag of Bream Roach and
Tench. Steve two pegs away caught one the pole and feeder using
Maggot and caster. Simon on 9 next to Mick sat it out on the
feeder and maggot to have Tench and bream for fourth place.

Marsh Farm Richardson's
1st Mark Harrington 22.10.0
2nd Gordon Stevenson 21.9.0
3rd Dave Ewing 17.4.0
4th Dave Lake 16.0.0
Notes
It was first time lucky for Mark who drew fancied peg 29 and had
Tench on the pole and corn and skimmers on pellet at short range
due to the bitter gale force winds that saw three broken poles
and several retirements in appalling conditions. Gordon on peg
34 on the more sheltered bank was second taking Skimmers and
Roach on the pole and caster. Dave also on the same bank took
third with similar tactics and Dave Lake around the corner on 42
had a late run of Tench on caster to secure fourth.

Draw 8.30 fish 10-3pm
1st Charlie Salmon 14.12.-0 Godalming
2nd Dave Lake 13.11.0 Godalming
3rd Graham Knight 13.0.0 Guildford
4th Brian Stevens 11.12.0 Godalming
Notes
With the planned open on the "Wey Navigation" cancelled a good
number of Godalming anglers joined in on Guildford Angling
Centre practice match at Marsh Farm. Marsh Farm is the reserve
venue for next weeks Supercup match between Godalming Midweekers,
Guildford Angling and Thames Angling. Charlie Salmon on peg 14
had Crucians, Tench and Roach at 12mtrs over groundbait and chop
worm using maggot worm and caster to cach steadily throughout
the match with all his fish being netters. Dave Lake got off to
a great start on unfancied peg 5 taking quality Roach and the
odd small Skimmer on the pole at 13mts. They fell to a variety
of baits but mainly red maggot and caster. As is often the way
Dave broke his hook length and despite setting up again the rig
never worked as well again. Trying to get the catch rate up
again he fined down and promptly hooked a Tench that broke him.
Hey Ho. Graham Knight on the much fancied peg 11 caught quality
Roach and small skimmers at 12mtrs on caster and a bonus Tench
on worm to narrowly miss out on second. Brian Stevens on the
opposite side of the lake on 38 had Skimmers and Roach on a
groundbait feeder and red maggot on the hook for fourth. It was
encouraging to see large quantities of last years spawning
moving about including lots of tiny skimmers.
