RIVER
WEY

August
2006 The River Wey rarely fished these days for some reason. Maybe it is
accessability that is putting members off or the presence of the dreaded signal
crayfish? Whatever the reason those willing to try it out are having good
success with barbel around the 8lbs mark, good bream to 6lbs and chub. In the
recent match a good mirror was landed too. Give the river a go, feed
steadily and you will probably be pleasantly surprised.
(07-01-2006) Barrie Stephens had just four bites but landed three stunning Chub including a new personal best last week (beginning of January). The Chub caught in this order just kept getting bigger: 4lbs 1oz, 5lbs 13oz and finally 6lbs 7oz. Now for the bit you are all dying to know .................. ledgered lobworm on the lower river. Well you didn't think he'd actually say which swim did you!? Congratulations Barrie an awesome catch mate.
