of what you can catch at Johnson's

August 2006 Johnsons is to
quote a regular "fishing its nuts off!" Exceptional catches of all species most
days. Even I have managed in excess of 20 good tench to 7lbs 1oz (a new PB) plus
Crucians and a small common in a short session! So it must be going well. If you
are reading this and not a member you do not know what you are missing - this is
where the next British record Crucian will come from!!!
(07-01-2006) Not
much coming out this winter which has disappointed quite a few after last
winters successes for those willing to put in the time and effort. The good news
is that the carp are keeping their weights up and gradually increasing with a
handful of "scrapper" 30's showing during the season.

Neal
fished a 48 hour session in the Little Willow on 10-11 July. His total
was 5 Runs - 2 twenties 23lb 3oz Common and a 21lb 6oz Mirror - 2 other
fish under 10lb and 1 lost.
Neal also had two more on 3rd July a 21lb Dink and 20lb mirror. Nice one Neal |

Notes:- Brothers bag a brace of 20's apiece. Alex & Stuart fished from mid afternoon Wednesday 29th September through to 8am Thursday and bagged these cracking fish. Weights 24lbs 4oz mirror, (Stuart - dark haired one), Common 22lbs 6oz (Alex), Mirror 26lbs 12oz (Stuart) & mirror 24lbs 10oz (Alex). Alex returned on Friday afternoon for another short overnight and followed up with 3 more mirrors at 18lbs, 26lbs 6oz & 27lbs 14oz but forgot to take a camera! |
